EBacc subjects (English, Maths, Science, History, Geography and MFL) students will be given a rank.
The rank states where in the year group a child is currently working at based on their assessment results.
There are currently 123 students in Year 9 so for all ranked subjects except MFL a rank of 1 would denote a child achieving the highest score within the year group, whereas a rank of 123 would indicate the lowest score. For MFL, students will be ranked within French and Spanish separately, meaning that the ranks for French would be 1-29 and the ranks for Spanish would be 1-94.
There are currently 154 students in Year 8 so for all ranked subjects except MFL a rank of 1 would denote a child achieving the highest score within the year group, whereas a rank of 154 would indicate the lowest score. For MFL, students will be ranked within French and Spanish separately, meaning that the ranks for French would be 1-31 and the ranks for Spanish would be 1-123.
There are currently 175 students in Year 7 so for all ranked subjects except MFL a rank of 1 would denote a child achieving the highest score within the year group, whereas a rank of 175 would indicate the lowest score. For MFL, students will be ranked within Spanish separately, meaning that the ranks for Spanish would be 1-175.
Please note, that the rank does not determine the set that your child is placed in as sets are a combination of test scores and other factors.
