Meet our School Captains

I was born in Brazil and moved to England when I was seven, so I'm very used to change and pushing myself. English being my second language has always enticed me to be the best and try my hardest. I have always adored being a leader and taking control of my situation.

I would consider myself to be strong physically and mentally and very emotionally intelligent. I've always loved helping people and I want and believe in making a change. That is why I applied to be school captain, in this position I get to hear what my peers want. This allows us to create a better school environment.

I am in Year 10 and starting GCSE's. It's a lot of pressure but having the teachers and students supporting me makes the Journey a whole lot easier. I am also school captain and being in this role takes a lot off your mind, doing jobs and helping around the school makes me feel so much more helpful and focused.

I love being able to represent the school community with the rest of the student leadership team, as well as representing the year 10 netball team with an amazing win in the Ashford league and placing second in the Kent League.

I applied to become school captain to face my fear of speaking in front of my peers. It has allowed me to experience helping others and to have a responsibility to help me in the future.

This has additionally opened opportunities within the school including touring new students and after school meetings.

I'm in Year 9! I’ve put myself forward to become school captain because I want to show that I can take responsibility. During year 7 and year 8 I've become wellbeing ambassador and Sports Captain. One thing I love about schools that there are many sports opportunities!

I take part in interhouse competitions, and I am part of the year 9 netball team! Being part of the team makes me feel I've found a place where I belong because the girls on my team make it so much enjoyable for me!

I applied to show my teachers I have responsibility to show I am capable of being mature, friendly and confident. I think I can show my peers how we can win interhouse competitions. Our teachers are very good at helping with our work and feelings and show us what a good school feels like.

I love English, especially creative writing. I have been on lots of trips and the teachers make it even better. This year my favourite trip was Disneyland Paris.

I applied for school captain because I believe that everyone deserves to have a responsibility that makes them feel important! I like volunteering, organising and helping with events. I am a clear, loudspeaker and I enjoy speaking in front of my peers and teachers. I love English and History because they are lessons where my imagination can soar and I can share all my thoughts on the subject!

I enjoy coming into school and seeing everyone with a smile on their face and ready for the day! The role of school captain is important to me because I can show who I am and help others along the way. I hope my personality shines through my role.
