Inter-House Debating Competition

📖We had a fantastic afternoon hosting Chilmington School’s first ever debate! ⏳

Blue Vs Green ‘Zoos should be banned’
Yellow Vs Red ‘Homework should be banned.’

Students had a chance beforehand to research and prepare and competed with the opposing team this afternoon. We had practise for how to speak in front of a group and how to listen to respond to effectively debate as part of our oracy focus this year preparing students with effective speaking and communication skills.
We are so proud of their resilience, respect and public speaking debate skills.

All students who represented their House were presented with a certificate for their speaking skills.

Congratulations to Blue 🟦 and Yellow 🟨 group for winning! We look forward to the finale in 2 weeks!
