Curriculum Update from Literacy and Guided Reading – Year 7 Blue

To further develop our strategy of literacy, we are asking students to link their Guided Reading books to our three school values in a book review. Our Guided Reading curriculum runs twice a week during form time where we read together as a group, in a calm environment. It was great to see students share their opinion on our latest read ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.

We would encourage our Year 7 families to discuss your child’s reading at home and hear all about the wonderful literature they are being exposed to on a weekly basis.
