Year 9 Battlefields Tour 2025 – France & Belgium

This morning our Battlefields students have visited Valentine Strudwick at Essex Farm Cemetery. The students were fascinated to find out about this 15-year-old soldier who joined the war in search of adventure. They listened to the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ in the very field in which it was written.

We’ve just arrived in Ypres to explore the Menin Gate and the all important chocolate shop!
