Year 8 Red – Lead Assembly on the theme of Advent

8 Red presenting their assembly on the theme of Advent – this year they decided to incorporate the idea of thankfulness and appreciation at Christmas time and came up with the idea of hosting a Gratitude Advent.

Last week, year 8s each wrote a gratitude card to a peer expressing their thanks for something – friendship, support, help with schoolwork etc. These cards were then added to an Advent Box and drawn at random.

Throughout the week 8 Red has been delivering these cards, with prizes for the senders and recipients, and spreading some Christmas gratitude! It has been lovely to see the smiles on pupils’ faces when they realise how appreciated they are by one another 😊
