Poppy Appeal 2024 in support of The Royal British Legion

Chilmington Green School is proud to be supporting The Royal British Legion this year with their Poppy Appeal.

Poppies are worn as a show of support for the Armed Forces community, both past and present.

The poppy is a well-known and well-established symbol, one that carries a wealth of history and meaning with it. Wearing a poppy is still a very personal choice, reflecting individual experiences and personal memories. It is never compulsory but is greatly appreciated by those who it is intended to support.

We will be circulating school when we return for Term 2, to support this charity and we ask for a small donation 20p-50p for poppies and £1.00 for poppy pin badges. These will also be available in reception should our families wish to pop in and support this cause from Wednesday 6th November.
